States of Power Demo
There was a playable demo before release, and it restricted you to France. The current Steam store page shows no demo download section, and no separate demo entry appears in Steam search.

This is, word for word, the most common question anyone asks a search engine about this game's demo. The answer is short: you cannot. If you played the demo and want another nation, the only route is the full game — the demo’s single-country limit is not something you can unlock. The full release opens the whole 1936 map plus the Scenario Editor.
A note on what we are not claiming
Other sites still describe the France demo in the present tense, as a thing you can download today. We checked the live store page and Steam search on 2026-08-30 and found no demo listing on either. What we cannot tell you is why — a pre-release demo being retired after launch is routine, but the developer has not commented on it in either post-launch announcement, so we are not going to invent a reason.
If a demo returns it will show up on the store page, and we re-read the official announcement feed for every entry in our update log.
