Briefing
What is States of Power?
States of Power is a wwii grand strategy wargame by Sarunas — developer and publisher both, a solo release — that launched on Steam on 26 August 2026 at $11.99, Windows only. Campaigns open in 1936: you pick a country, choose one of four ideologies, build factories and research labs, climb a research tree that ends at the atomic bomb, and fight it out in real time at up to five speeds. A full match is designed to fit one sitting.
Its players describe it in one phrase — Hearts of Iron 4 with the complexity removed — and 89.8% of 196 Steam reviews are positive. This site covers what the game actually contains: the nations confirmed on the 1936 map, units and the counter system, the technology tree, official multiplayer servers, and every patch since launch. Where the developer has not published numbers, we say so rather than inventing them. And because it is the most-asked question by a wide margin: no, there is no Android version.

Get Started in 5 Steps
- Check it will run, then buy. The bar is low — an i3 with integrated graphics and 2 GB free. Confirm on the requirements page, and read the player verdict first if $11.99 needs justifying.
- Pick a country you already understand. The campaign opens in 1936 with the whole world available. See which nations are confirmed on the map and how ideology, cores and puppets work before you commit to a run.
- Get your economy moving before your army. Factories, research labs, ports and infrastructure all compete for the same construction capacity — the economy guide covers the trade-offs, including the 29 August income change.
- Build a mixed army, not a deathstack. Every unit type loses to something. The units page explains the counter system and what the map counters mean, and the tech tree shows where research leads.
- Move to multiplayer when singleplayer stops surprising you. Official servers run dynamic speed and hold your country for two minutes if you drop — details on the multiplayer page.

FAQ
Is States of Power on mobile or Android?
No. The Steam store API lists the game as Windows-only, there is no Google Play listing, and no APK exists. Google's own knowledge panel labels it a “Mobile game”, which is where most of the confusion comes from — that label is wrong. See our platform page for the full evidence.
Is there a States of Power APK?
No. No Android build has ever been released. Any file advertised as a “States of Power APK” is not this game — treat it as unsafe.
Is statesofpower.io a free browser version?
No. statesofpower.io is the developer's own shortlink: opening it redirects straight to the Steam store page. The developer's Steam support address is [email protected], which confirms the domain belongs to them.
How This Site Is Maintained
States of Power Guide is an independent, unofficial fan resource for States of Power players — not affiliated with Sarunas.
- How we verify: Every number here is pulled from a source you can open yourself: the Steam store API for price, platforms and specs; the Steam reviews API for the score; the official announcement feed for patch notes; and the Steam player API for the live count. Screenshots are the developer's own.
- Update cadence: Patch pages are rewritten within 48 hours of an official announcement — the update log is checked against the Steam news feed, not copied from other sites. The live player figure is re-read on each rebuild.
- What we don't do: We do not publish nation power rankings or unit stat tables. The developer has not released those numbers, and inventing them to fill a page would make this site worse than useless. Where a table is missing, we say what is missing and why.
