States of Power Multiplayer and Official Servers

States of Power ships with multiplayer and developer-run official servers. Diplomacy between human players is the headline feature — the store description calls it fast and brutal, with global and private messaging built in.

Official server features

Feature What it does Added
Dynamic speed Official servers speed up while nothing important is happening and slow back down when real players go to war. A chat message announces every speed change. 2026-08-27
Country reservation If you disconnect, your country is held for you. Reconnect within 2 minutes and you drop straight back into it; nobody else can take it in the meantime, and you cannot take another country — added specifically to stop malicious country switching. 2026-08-29
Real-player chat filter Chat can be filtered to show only human players, with player names shown next to their countries. 2026-08-27

Diplomacy actions (8)

Multiplayer diplomacy is the part the developer leads with — "fast and brutal", with global and private messaging built in. These are the actions confirmed from the in-game news feed and the 1.0.11 patch notes:

The diplomacy action list is read off the in-game news feed in official screenshots plus the 1.0.11 patch notes, which name wars, alliances, guarantees and pacts as the relations panel entries.

Why the country reservation matters

The 1.0.11 note is unusually specific about intent: reconnecting within two minutes puts you straight back into your country, nobody else can take it meanwhile, and you are blocked from taking any other country. That last clause exists "to fix malicious country changing" — a named exploit where a player abandons a losing nation to grab a stronger one mid-game. It is a good signal of how quickly this developer is turning community reports into fixes: the game had been out for three days.
